Terms of Service

1. Services*

*All services are offered a la carte, in addition to being bundled in our various courses and packages.

**A. Initial SAT/ACT Diagnostic Process - 1 to 2 Weeks*.**

i. Each student will be given full-length practice test, either for SAT or ACT, and expert tutors will examine his or her results to determine best recommended course of action.

ii. Student will have at least two one-hour one-on-one sessions with tutors for English and Math, who will precisely determine student's current status with various concepts and skills needed for the exams.

iii. A final report will be presented to the parents and student outlining an in-depth analysis of the student's current status, including potential scholarships, and our reccomendations for further study.

*This process is included in price of standard 12-week course, (Standard Course), and also includes potential score we will guarantee for your student upon completion of said course. If initially purchased separately, its price will be automatically discounted from that of the Standard Course. Duration is largely determined by student's schedule when taking initial exam and meeting with tutors. Report itself typically takes 1 to 2 business days turnaround.

**B. Standard SAT/ACT Course - 12 Weeks*.**

i. Students will be given series of at least 5 diagnostic exams to continually track their progress throughout the program. Each diagnostic exam consists of one practice exam, one-on-one diagnostic sessions with expert tutors in math and English, in-depth analysis of test scores, and summary report including suggested study guide. (See Section A: Initial Diagnostic Process for more details on diagnostic process.)

ii. Each student will be assigned an accountability coach. This coach will meet and get to know each individual upon beginning the program, and will ultimately be that student's primary point of contact with the tutors, as well as facilitator, homework parent (if needed), and general cheerleader. Assigned coach will touch base with student each week before the seminar to gain diagnostic status, collect questions, and communicate that student's needs for the seminar to the tutors. Coach will then follow up with student throughout the week via text and Facebook group to ensure all questions are answered and practice is completed.

iii. Each student will have access to at least three seminars and/or one-on-one sessions a week, each taught by experts in each field presented on the exam, and each typically lasting 90-120 minutes, including at least one hour of lecture and Q&A afterwards. Topics will be iteratively chosen based on student's needs, progress, and tutor availability. (If student elects to work towards optional SAT/ACT essay, approximately one English hour every two weeks will be spent one-on-one with essay coach.)

iv. Each student will be given access to private Facebook group for each subject. This forum will provide additional support from other students, tutors, and accountability coaches to discuss confusion and ensure any remaining questions are answered.

v. Tutors will be in constant contact with accountability coaches, as well as monitoring Facebook groups to ensure all questions are answered. They are also available for one-on-one diagnostic calls if needed.

*12-week program typically requires around 10 hours per week by the student. Program can be stretched to 24 weeks at same price, reducing commitment to 5 hours per week.

C. Scholarship Package - (currently included in Standard Course)

i. Separate add-on package is available to help student research available scholarships at desired schools, determining their requirements and crafting essays for these scholarships, based on knowledge of scholarships and desired school.

We have extensive experience with many major colleges and scholarship organizations, and can help student research those with which we do not.

ii. Includes accountability coach to help student stay organized and meet important deadlines.

iii. Includes one-on-one sessions with essay coach to help student write scholarship essays.

Note: We do NOT actually write essays for the student; we are not a "write-for-hire" service. We provide writing expertise and feedback, background information on culture and desired focus of the student's chosen school, and iteratively help the students organize their thoughts and communicate their best self.

D. College Essay Package - (currently included in Standard Course)

i. Separate add-on package is available to help student determine requirements and craft essays for entrance applications to specific colleges, based on knowledge of desired school. We have extensive experience with many major colleges, and can help student research essay requirements and (where possible) subjective scoring criteria specific to those with which we do not.

ii. Includes accountability coach to help student stay organized and meet important deadlines.

iii. Includes one-on-one sessions with essay coach to help student write college entrance application essays.

E. One-On-One Tutoring

One-On-One Tutoring for individual prerequisites and other subjects not typically seen on standard entrance exams can be scheduled according to need. All classes and learning styles are available; emphasis is placed on student specifics.

Different rates are available according to number of hours needed per week. All tutoring packages include accountability coach and Facebook group for that subject.

F. Additional Services

Additional services are available a la carte and/or via customized packages upon request, including but not limited to accountability coaching, diagnostic series, practice exams with tutors, etc.

Pricing information varies by product and is delivered upon determination of specific request or customized recommendation.

2. Payment.

A. Initial Diagnostic Process

i. Initial Diagnostic Process is $500 and is typically completed within one to two weeks of purchase, depending on student schedule. No payment plan is available for this service.

Upon purchase of initial diagnostic process, price is automatically discounted from purchase price of Standard Course.

B. Standard SAT/ACT Course

i. Standard course for SAT or ACT mastery is $25,000 for at least 12 nominal weeks instruction plus acheivement of guaranteed score determined during initial diagnostic, (including up to an additional 12 weeks of instruction if needed). A 3-month payment plan is available at $8,750/month, (including a 5% payment plan fee). If student needs additional prerequisites and desires a higher score than we can initially guarantee, 40% discount will be applied to successive courses. (3-month payment plan for Standard Course at 40% discount is available at $5,250/month).

Card will be run at time of purchase, and again on a recurring basis as specified in contract. Payment plans will be charged monthly on original day of purchase.

ii. Refunds are not provided for missed seminars or one-on-one sessions for course students, although every effort will be made to accommodate students' needs, provided additional classes are available and at least 24-hours notice is given, (Limit: 12 reschedules for Standard Course). Additional help is also available via the accountability coaches and Facebook group. More than 3 missed (non-rescheduled) sessions voids guarantee, and student is then limited to nominal 12-week course duration.

iii. Initial Diagnostic Process is included in price of Standard Course, and is discounted from Standard Course tuition if diagnostic was previously purchased as stand-alone service.

C. Scholarship Add-On Package

i. Scholarship Package is currently included in Standard Course, for one-on-one essay and accountability coaching through successful research and completion of scholarship requirements, (specific to desired schools and scholarship organizations). No payment plan is available for this service.

D. College Essay Add-On Package

i. College Essay Package is currently included in Standard Course, for one-on-one essay and accountability coaching through successful completion of outstanding college essays. No payment plan is available for this service.

E. One-On-One Tutoring.

i. One-on-one tutoring students will be charged weekly, a priori.

Rates include accountability coach and Facebook group, and are dependant upon level and subject required. Discounts are available for multiple sessions per week.

ii. Refunds will be given upon request for individual tutoring sessions, provided refund is requested more than 24 hours in advance of scheduled session. Refund rate is based on full refund of that session according to tier.

iii. If additional hours are needed, every effort will be made to accommodate students' schedules, with any additional hours charged individually at tiered rates based on total hours charged (recurring and/or individually) for that week.

F. Additional Services

Additional services are available a la carte and/or via customized packages upon request, including but not limited to accountability coaching, diagnostic series, practice exams with tutors, etc.

G. Payment Methods

Subscriptions are charged via Moonclerk through Stripe; individual payments are processed through Stripe.

We do not hold or maintain individual credit card information. All payment information is stored via Moonclerk and Stripe. If you have any issue or concern with payments for our services, please let us know and we will do our best to ensure it is corrected, subject to these policies.
